This is a replacement water pump impeller for Mercury outboard motor applications 65 hp and up and Mercruiser Sterndrives 1963 - 1989 as detailed in the chart below.

Replaces Merc Part #: 47-89984, 47-89984T4, 47-30221, 47-65960, Mallory Marine 9-45306
Replaces Sierra Part #: 18-3017

Note:
Many folks do not understand how a flexible vane impeller pump works. If the impeller just dropped into the cup, it would not pump water. The impeller, as it's name suggests, must be flexed into the cup. See second image. The tension of the "flexed" blade maintains the necessary tension to allow the pump to work properly. While flexing the vanes into the cup can be difficult it is absolutely necessary and installation can be helped by applying vaseline to the impeller and turning the drive shaft using the prop.
Image is representative of a flexible vane impeller installed. While some impellers will reverse themselves if installed "backwards" some will not so please note the directionality of the old impeller.

Calculated and Combined Shipping:

Returns and Warranty Policies

If you are returning an item please call 1-800-332-9088 for return authorization. We will not accept returns without prior authorization. Absolutely no refunds on installed electrical parts.

Returns for Refund:
A refund of a returned item, less original shipping costs, will be issued if return authorization is obtained within 14 days of purchase. The item being returned must be unopened, uninstalled and in resalable condition.

The refund will be for the item being returned less shipping cost. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

All items being returned for a refund will be subject to inspection. If the item being returned has been installed, damaged or the original packaging is damaged or marked and is not in resalable condition (i.e. torn, broken, written on, greasy finger prints, etc.) no refund will be issued.

If you’re able to arrive early enough on Thursday for Goodwood’s Moving Motor Show you might just be able to book yourself a slot to drive up the famous hillclimb course with one of the many manufacturers displaying their cars. Few mere mortals get the opportunity to drive up the hallowed tarmac at Goodwood – it’s more often reserved for F1 aces and motorsport heroes, such as a certain David Coulthard. In this video from Mercedes-Benz, DC takes us on a guided tour up the hillclimb, corner by corner behind the wheel of a suitably glam Merc SLS Black Series.

The 2012 BMW 3 Series is launched in the UK The 2012 BMW 3 Series has been launched by BMW UK, with just three engines available at launch and prices starting at £29,060. It’s taken a few months from the debut of the 2012 BMW 3 Series back in October to actually launching it in the UK, but now BMW UK has officially launched the sixth generation of the car that underpins their sales. Last week we had the prelude to the official UK launch with a huge gallery of UK-specific new 3 Series Photos, and there’s not a lot more to say we haven’t covered already – we even had UK prices for the new 3 Series back in October.
