BMW i8 to cost from £99,895

BMW has revealed its new i8 petrol-electric range-extender supercar will cost from £99,895 – and dealers are already taking pre-orders for the 155mph, 113mpg coupe. The high-performance i8 will be the second BMW i car to go on sale, following the launch of the i3 electric city car which goes on sale in BMW dealers this weekend. Nissan and British design group Conran have unveiled 'Plus Conran' limited versions of the Cube, March (Micra) and Lafesta minivan for the Japanese market. The series follows Nissan's 'Modern Living Concept', which stresses advanced design values in cabins, first introduced with the Teana in 2003, and seen in the the Amenio concept minivan, shown at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2005. Electric Ford Focus to guest on Leno show

Jay Leno's new show goes live Monday on NBC, and a guest star from Dearborn, Mich., will have a recurring role. The battery-electric Ford Focus will be the centerpiece of a bit dubbed the “Green Car Challenge” on the show. Leno, a noted car guy, will have celebrity guests compete for the best track times in the Focus.
