VW 'to announce its WRC entry' at Rally Sardinia

VW Polo R WRC (2011): Volkswagen enter the WRC High-level sources in an existing World Rally Championship team have told CAR that Volkswagen will formally announce its decision to enter the WRC at Rally Sardinia, which starts on 5 May 2011, somewhat stealing the thunder of Mini’s WRC debut. 2010 Dodge Viper SRT10 ACR-X rolls into production in Detroit

One of the most sinister snakes to slither out of the Dodge Viper plant in Detroit rolled off the assembly line on Tuesday as Chrysler simultaneously marks the final year of production for the current generation of its iconic supercar and launches a new race series. The first 2010 Viper SRT10 ACR-X was completed at the Connor Avenue plant, also known as the “Snake Pit” in the Motor City. It's a track-only car designed for road-racing enthusiasts, and it melds top performance parts from the Viper ACR (street legal) and the Viper Competition Coupe (far from it).

Fisker Karma S concept

Fisker Automotive revealed the newest addition to its lineup at NAIAS 2009, exactly a year after the independent carmaker unveiled its first concept vehicle, the Karma. Called the Karma S concept, the four-seat convertible was designed by Henrik Fisker with input from a newly assembled design team taken on to help bring the Karma sedan to production. The design of the S is likely to make it to the showroom almost unchanged.
