Condition:Used Brand:New Process Gear Warranty:No Warranty Manufacturer Part Number:242 J

Pulled from a wrecked 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 156011 miles. 4WD worked about a week prior to accident.  Not tested afterwards, however there was no visible damage to the transmission, transfer case, or driveshafts (car slid sideways, rolled once onto roof and kept sliding to a stop). The 4WD was not engaged when this happened...that's why the car is probably crushed into a small cube right now and the transfer case is in my garage. Local pickup only; I will not be available to arrange pickup until 11/7/16 unless purchased with BuyitNow prior to 11/2/16.  This may fit vehicles other than a Grand Cherokee. Buyer responsible for checking fit prior to purchasing. Sold as is, no returns. If you would like to pay with cash on pickup that is certainly acceptable (and preferred). Actually, I'll give you one free beer (or bottled water if you prefer) on pickup if you pay with cash.

Aston Martin V8 Vantage pricing announced

Tue, 10 Apr 2012

A couple of months ago, we noted that Aston Martin had upgraded the V8 Vantage for 2012. After all, even the entry-level sybarite doesn't want to feel abandoned by the luxe maestros in Gaydon, and Gaydon doesn't want them to feel slighted. We previously mentioned the upgraded self-shifting transmission, which receives a seventh gear, as well as the quicker steering ported over from the Vantage S.

Cloud rises over diesel plan for Nissan Maxima

Wed, 18 Mar 2009

Nissan North America may postpone a V6 diesel engine planned for the Maxima sedan in 2010. Since the company revealed its Maxima diesel plan two years ago, gasoline prices have fallen dramatically, auto sales have collapsed and Nissan has begun reviewing product plans as it scrambles to restore profitability. "We haven't reached a decision on the diesel yet, but we have to consider where we want to put our capital investments," says Larry Dominique, North American vice president for product planning.
