Bernie Ecclestone's 2009 Christmas Card Just like last year, we’ve chosen to use Bernie Ecclestone‘s personal Christmas card to headline our Yuletide good wishes to you, dear reader. Bernie likes to make an amusing point or two when he commissions his Christmas cards, and this year is no different. Last year saw Bernie dig at Max Mosley and his ‘Recreational’ habits, and this year he picks the story of F1 2009 as its theme.

Henrik Fisker leaves his eponymous company

Henrik Fisker, co-founder of Fisker Automotive, has resigned from the company as Fisker seeks funding to move forward. But Henrik Fisker managed to convince the car world his Fisker Karma was credible, even if its gestation has been plagued by problems,  the latest of which has been the demise of its battery supplier – A123 Systems – and the wrecking of a dock full of seemingly uninsured Karmas by Hurricane Sandy. The current problems at Fisker has seen them seeking a new investor, with two Chinese companies – Geely and Dohnfeng – vying to take a majority stake in Fisker Automotive and help Fisker recover sales of the Karma and move on with Project Nina, the smaller Fisker Atlantic.

Honda have introduced a new 'Sporty' Civic - The Honda Civic Si The new Honda Civic Si is being made available across the whole five-door Civic range, regardless of engine or transmission. From which you would conclude, quite rightly, that this is a cosmetc ‘Sports’ job, not a power one. So you get some upgraded Graphite-coloured alloys (16″ on the 1.4 litre and 17″ on bigger engined variants), colour-coded bumpers, front fogs, Type R style mesh grill and dark chrome door handles and fuel cap.
