Item: Fits most OMC Johnson or Evinrude 3-cylinders such as the 50/60/65/70hp Outboard Models... Will fit other models but may not be 'exactly' the same factory size but will still work. This is a weld-on Replacement Skeg. If your skeg has been broken or significantly damaged don't spend $1,000 on another unit...just have this cast aluminum replacement skeg welded on to bring your outboard motor back to original. This is a very simple fix! You don't have to remove your lower unit or pull the gears out of the lower unit to have it welded...just tow your boat to a local welder and have them weld this direct factory replacement skeg on. Typically takes less than 30 minutes and will probably cost $40-$50 for welding...then spray paint the skeg back to the original black. Total cost to fix your skeg will be less than $75 after welding charge.
