These are troubled times for Formula 1. Honda, rich as it is, has bailed out of F1 and is still looking for a buyer. Other teams are struggling to make a budget that adds up, despite the backing of billionaires and car manufacturers.

It was a real surprise that Honda decided to pull out of F1 for 2009. True, they haven’t yet seen the sort of success that their efforts, and money, should have yielded, but they have a superb product and, more importantly, potentially one of the best set-ups in F1 led by the best of the best, Ross Braun, who was pretty much responsible for the renaissance at Ferrari and Michael Shumacher’s domination of the sport. But there could well be a light at the end of the tunnel for the Honda F1 Team.

BMW recalls new 5-series

BMW is recalling up to 12,400 new 5-series sedans that have defective fuel-tank sensors. Bloomberg reports that the fuel sensors can become wedged against the tank, causing the fuel gauge to display a higher amount of fuel than what is present. There have been 10 reported incidents of sedans being affected by the defect in the United States.
