The Radar 1000MKII is a great little LCD radar designed for ease of use and reliability.
It utilizes an ultra compact 12" Radome with a high-speed 32RPM antenna, outputting 1.5kW of power. The compact 6.5" Black & White LCD display utilizes a Jog Dial and Joystick for simple and quick operation. The Jog Dial allows the user to set Gain, Range, Tuning and Sea Clutter. All the features you would expect in larger radars are standard, including interfacing with your GPS for Own Ship’s Position, Course, Speed, and Waypoint navigation. Standard Radar Features:6.5" Black & White, high definition LCD (320 x 240), sunlight viewable, water resistant display. Antenna 12" Diameter Radome with high-speed 32RPM target update. THE BASE OF THE RADAR HAD SOME OF THE PLASTIC CUT AWAY TO FIT A CORD UNDERNEATH, BUT YOU WOULD NOT NOTICE ONCE INSTALLED. THE LCD DISPLAY HAD A THIN VERTICAL LINE OF PIXELS THAT WERE NOT WORKING. OTHERWISE, THE RADAR WORKED GREAT, BUT IT WAS OVERKILL FOR MY BOAT AND I FOUND PUTTING THE MOUNTING POST UP AND DOWN TO BE ANNOYING. |

Wed, 06 May 2009First year students at the Royal College of Art recently held an exhibition at the London Transport Museum commemorating the 40th anniversary of the school's vehicle design course. Sponsored by GM's Opel/Vauxhall division, 19 students responded to a brief that called for them to ‘Fast Forward into the Future'. Divided into three groups - Inside Out, Urban Flow and Automark - the students devised their own notions of vehicles for the year 2049, and in some cases entirely reinvented Opel brand values and aesthetics.

Based on a 2013 Mazda MX-5 2.0-litre Sport Tech Roadster Coupe, the BBR GT270 will reach 60mph in 4.9 seconds and hit an electronically limited top speed of 150mph.
