GM's Henderson: Corvette's future is secure

The future of the Chevrolet Corvette is secure, General Motors CEO Fritz Henderson says, even as GM dramatically slashes its size and costs. In an exclusive interview with AutoWeek, Henderson says that not only is the Corvette's current platform undergoing continual development, but the future seventh-generation car, dubbed the C7, also is on track. He would not specify when the C7 Vette would hit showrooms.

Mazda2 Takuya, Mazda3 Takuya & Mazda6 Takuya for 2011 As we’ve mentioned – more than once – the start of the year is prime time for the ‘Limited Edition’ and ‘Special Edition’ and any other sort of ‘Edition’ car makers can conjure up as they try to keep metal moving. Today, it’s the turn of Mazda. Mazda have done the whole ‘Edition’ bit in spades this time, with the return of the range-topping Mazda Takuya.

Formula E, the new elite racing series for electric single-seaters, has got the FIA’s backing, confirmed the major cities that will host the races, and now we've finally seen the crucial racecar. This is the Spark-Renault SRT_01E, a joint project developed between Renaultsport and Spark Racing Technology (SRT) which has just been unveiled at the 2013 Frankfurt motor show. There’s also been input from F1 legends Williams and McLaren, plus Dallara (which builds all the cars for the IndyCar series in the US).
