We reported that a Supersports Convertible was likely back in October, and as Bentley have managed to chop the top off all the other iterations of the Continental GT there was no way they were going to pass up the chance to add another variant to the list. Bentley have also added the FlexFuel capability to all models in the Continental range.

It’s not the only go-faster Volkswagen that’s under consideration, either. Linking in with its assault on the World Rally Championship, VW is also analysing a potential 250hp, four-wheel-drive Polo R variant.
Ferrari 4×4 Hybrid system on the drawing board
Sat, 23 May 2009One of the drawings Ferrari has submitted to the European Patent Office for a 4x4 Hybrid System [ad#ad-1] Actually, the headline is quite literal. It would appear that Ferrari is working on four wheel drive hybrid propulsion systems after plans submitted to the European Patent Office were uncovered by Autocar. It’s been known for some time that Ferrari has been working on Hybrid and 4WD systems, but these drawings show that Ferrari is in fact looking at a simpler system designed more to aid handling than to benefit the environment.
