Vintage Kent Moore diesel basic diagnostic kit includes (1) Pioneer Photo Electric model 36 Tachometer dual scale 0-2,400 rpm,0-12,000 rpm scales, (1)NOSHOK 0-160bar gauge, (1)J-7915-3 adapter,(1) Thermometer, (1)unopened roll photo tach tape for the Tachometer,(1) 0-1000psi-0-7,000KPA gauge,(1) 0-100 psi gauge with T hose, (2) magnetic mounted hose meters with various hoses and fluid. Janet Gutherie, the first woman to race in the Indianapolis 500, said overcoming the numerous hurdles set before her as she tried to forge a racing career was something that she just had to do. “I wanted it so much,” Gutherie said during a seminar at the 16th Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance on Friday, “I was willing to put up with whatever they would throw at me.” AutoWeek's own Denise McCluggage, a renowned racer in her own right, was also part of the Women in Racing panel discussion that also included racers Judy Stropus, Erin Crocker, Jessica Brunelli and Lynn St. James.

Countach Sets Record Auction Price

A 1982 Lamborghini Countach was the highlight at a recent historics auction at the famous Brooklands Museum. The Countach was clearly the sale star, soaring to nearly three times its reserve price and settling at what is believed to be a UK auction record for this model, at £337,120 including commission and tax. The auction hall was treated to a struggle between bidders for ownership of the 8,500 mile car, which has been in professional storage for the last 23 years.

Bugatti Veyron Super Sport speed record cancelled by Guinness

The title of the world’s fastest car held by the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport has been removed from the Guinness World Records. But, nearly three years on from when the Veyron Super Sport achieved its world record run of 267.81mph, Guinness World Records have decided that it’s invalid. It seems the heirs to the McWhirter twins have discovered the Veyron Super Sport Bugatti used for their record setting run wasn’t a standard production car, but that Bugatti had removed its speed limiter.
