Kenwood AM-FM Cassette Receiver Detachable Faceplate KRC-880

This faceplate is in very good condition physically. All buttons are crisp. Minors scratches. No chips, cracks or damage. Includes protective case.

This was acquired from Circuit City many years ago when they were replacing their car audio display along with some misc faceplates that were laying around. I do not have anyway to test this without the original deck. I see other sellers guarantee that they are tested and 100% working. I have no idea how they can test the faceplate without the receiver. This may work and may not, that is why I am selling this as "Parts Not Working". Price reflects this as well. I figure honesty will go a lot further than a blank guarantee. At the very least you might be able repair yours with the one you purchase.

Quick Note: In my experience , if your radio does not power up more than likely it is not a defective faceplate. I have serviced audio equipment for 30 years and only seen that be the case a couple of times. Usually a collapsed power button.

Range Rover Evoque Convertible NOT going in to production. Thankfully.

Sun, 07 Apr 2013

It seems Land Rover is having second thoughts about making the Range Rover Evoque Convertible – shown at Geneva 2012 – in to a production model. But the one model we really couldn’t find a lot of positives in was the Range Rover Evoque Convertible – which arrived as a concept at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show – looking like the ultimate statement of Chav central for Tango’d ‘Ladies’ who lunch, from Brentwood via Surrey and up to Cheshire. We understood Land Rover’s impetus – they thought there’d be a market for a drop-top Evoque – but it really was a step too far for Land Rover to go.

It’s called the Ford Shelby GT500KR, in homage to the 1968 original, and just 1000 Coupes go on sale in spring 2008. KR means King of the Road, a name GM had intended to use until Shelby got wind of it and grabbed the crown first.

The Bloodhound SuperSonic Car is a rocket-powered land missle

Tue, 06 Nov 2012

The ambitious British Bloodhound SuperSonic Car project took a significant step forward in the quest to raise the world's land speed record to 1,000 mph when the machine's main power unit—a spectacularly forceful rocket engine—was successfully test fired Oct. 3. The rocket is believed to be the largest designed in Europe in decades, and its 185-decible noise level is said to be many times louder than a Boeing 747 during takeoff.
