It's tough to imagine the British car scene in North America without the MGB, which remains a popular starter classic and is available in every price range imaginable--and some price ranges that aren't. The iconic MGB was in production from 1962 until 1980, an entire era that saw relatively few changes introduced to the well-proven design. Italian firm buys stake in Aston Martin

The former owner of Italian motorcycle maker Ducati has bought a 37.5-percent stake in financially strapped British car maker Aston Martin. The move means future Astons could use modern drivelines and electric architectures from Mercedes-Benz's AMG division, insiders with knowledge of the deal suggest. Private equity fund Investindustrial has signed a memorandum of understanding with current Aston Martin owner Investment Dar of Kuwait that will see it pay $240 million (150 million pounds) for the ownership stake.

KISKA opens new design studio

Austrian brand management and design company KISKA has moved its design studio into a modern new building in Salzburg, Austria, just a few meters from its former location. The new headquarters boasts state-of-the-art workstations and has been built to enable the firm to prepare for expansion and new challenges in the years to come. Designed by Hofbauer architects, the 4700m² building was built in just one and a half years.
