It is ideal for motorhome owners wanting a quick satellite TV set-up while parked in areas generally clear of trees and other obstacles. This satellite can be wired through an A/B switch to allow use of a Tailgater portable antenna when parked in the trees. Also lets you upgrade your existing roof mounted satellite dish, King-Dome or others, to full HDTV capabilities with no need to install additional cables or find an external power source. Just use the coaxial cable from your existing satellite dish or from the satellite prep installed by the OEM and you're already pre-wired! This satellite receives reception of DISH Network SD and HD programming. Dual LNB with auxiliary coax output for second receiver. Sleek, aerodynamic 14.5" dome with high gain antenna for best possible reception. The KD-5500 is powered by receiver over single coaxial cable connection. Requires customer supplied DISH Network compatible receiver (ViP211k, ViP211 or 411 models).

Ferrari looks at layoffs, cuts back production

We guess it's not all GTOs and 458 Italias. The word out of Italy is that Ferrari is looking at cutting production and eliminating 9 percent of its workers after sister company Maserati cut engine orders. Ferrari made only about 4,500 engines for Maserati last year, compared with nearly 9,000 in 2008.

White remains new car buyers' top color

White remains the most popular color of choice for automotive consumers, a trend report has shown, with 22 per cent of all car buyers opting for the color. Transportation coatings manufacturer PPG's annual automotive color popularity and trend data report has, however, forecasted that more vibrant colors are set to increase in popularity. Silver came a close second with 20 per cent of new car buyers opting for it, followed by black (19 per cent), gray (12 per cent), red (9 per cent), natural (8 per cent), blue (7 per cent), green (2 per cent) and other colors (1 per cent).

1,208 Porsche 911s hit the Silverstone track to celebrate Porsche-s 50th anniversary Last month, we reported that plans by Silverstone Classic to run a record-breaking parade of Porshe 911s to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Porsche had garnered so many applications that Silverstone has to stop accepting applications nearly two months ahead of the event. Now the 2013 Silverstone Classic 911 Parade has happened it seems Silverstone decided to go for broke, and instead of the originally planned parade of 911 911s, they actually managed to drive 1,208 911s round the Silverstone track at the same time – a new record. As well as 1208 911s, Porsche and the organisers of the Silverstone Classic managed to entice a number of names along too, including Mark Porsche – great grandson of Porsche founder, Ferdinand Porsche – former F1 and Le Mans driver Derek Bell and Le Mans drivers John Fitzpatrick and Richard Attwood.
