This is a solenoid operated shut-off valve used in various types of aircraft. This one was removed during tear down and has been in storage since. It is in good condition without damage to the housing or ports. It is stamped VALVE SOLENOID SHUT-OFF, 28 VDC, MFR. PART NO. 5-87774, KOEHLER. It is not tagged and I have no way to test it so am listing it AS IS. Thank you for looking and please see our many other aviation auctions. Feds researching fire risks from EV batteries, regulator says
Fri, 10 Jun 2011Federal safety regulators have begun an $8.75 million study of whether lithium ion batteries in electric vehicles pose a potential fire hazard, officials said Thursday. Kevin Vincent, chief counsel of the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, said researchers are looking at whether the high-voltage batteries can cause fires when they are being charged and when the vehicles are in an accident.
