NOS KONI 310mm - 12 1/4" Clevis fork lower mount shocks - Complete and Serviced

Check my store for other lengths and models of NOS and used Konis or use "Ask a question" to let me know what model, parts, or service you're looking for.

Feedback: I had a set of blown konis for my RD with the wrong springs for my criteria. I sent them to Rhaag and I have never been more satisfied with the new springs and valving. Unbelievable difference! Thanks Robert! Brian from Missouri.

Spring mounts will most likely be the later alloy type as pictured, or the earlier KONI classic chrome type if requested. Let me know your preference or take whichever is installed.  Exchanges accepted but all shipping paid by the buyer.

As with all early KONIs, they have adjustable rebound dampening.

New old stock, stored indoors in the original box. Stamped on bodies is model # 76F 1374 which were listed listed for the lighter Honda CBs in old KONI literature.

For more info search for IKON's applications list, who took over KONI MC shocks in the 90's.

These shocks have been serviced, as even NOS have the classic and fatal Koni flaw of the disintegrated and melted rebound-top out plastic washer. This melted crud has been thoroughly cleaned out, as explained below. Consider this when buying new or used KONIs.

Look carefully and please ask any questions you may have before bidding.

Insurance included with shipping and handling price.

Will ship overseas - please contact us for shipping cost.  Handling cost listed is to cover insurance on international orders.

Sale is final. Please ask any questions before bidding.

+++++ A heads up to Koni buyers and owners:
Old style 76 series KONIS that have not been serviced get gummed up by an internal soft rubber/ plastic rebound bumper washer (that sits on top of the piston) that dissolved into goo over the decades, and gets sucked into and plugs up the damping mechanisms. This is visible in the photo of the internal parts. So if not jammed already,  they'll usually get stuck after trying to pump them. Don't force them or you can do damage including bending the shafts if you try to ride with them jammed. There's no way to resolve the issue except for complete dis-assembly and meticulously cleaning out all the old plastic crud, which takes special tools, a lot of manual work, and time. It's imperative that any NOS and used KONIs you buy will need to be rebuilt or they most likely will be damaged. Be advised of this when considering buying any KONIs that have not been rebuilt.

After doing the cylinder porting for FMF racing for nearly 2 decades, I've now turned the craftsmanship and attention to detail to restoring and racing with Konis since '01,
and am always looking to buy 76 Series and GP Konis, and also have new shafts available.

These made in Holland "Heavy Turn" 76 series KONIs have adjustable rebound dampening and instructions are included. Will try to assist with reasonable requests.

Video: GM's Frank Saucedo, Niki Smart and Gael Buzyn on the Elmiraj concept

Fri, 16 Aug 2013

GM director advanced design Frank Saucedo features in a new video explaining the design process behind the new Elmiraj concept. Saucedo, who oversaw the concept's development at GM's advanced design studio in North Hollywood, California, talks about how the Elmiraj – the second in a series of three concept cars that began with last's year Ciel – is a study of how they can progress and evolve the carmaker's ‘Art and Science' design philosophy. GM's interior design manager Gael Buzyn and exterior design manager Niki Smart also feature, with Smart explaining how the Elmiraj concept is focused on the notion of ‘the drive' and has been designed to reflect dynamism while the Ciel was about ‘the journey', represented by a luxurious interior.

We’re pushed out and Claire’s taking it for the weekend, so it has to be at least today and tomorrow – and probably Monday as well”. To be honest I didn’t mind.
