Large Vintage Stevens Valve Spring Compressor/ Valve Lifter Model T286a on 2040-parts.com

Cutchogue, New York, United States

A very large Stevens "Valve Lifter" which, I assume, is a valve spring compressor. Its model T286A and is in very good condition. It works well and opens and closes with a gear operated lever with a wood handle. It is just covered with some old soot and grime but would clean up easily

Its 14-1/2 inches across and aprox. 11-3/4 inches from top to bottom. It probably weighs 8+ pounds. It exceeds the weight of my postal scale so it's an estimate. I will ship it either UPS or USPS depending on the cheaper cost.

Good for use or something to add to your collection.

Vygor Opera .2 - a second take on the new crossover from Italy Last month we reported on the Vygor Opera, a new ‘car’ from Italy which we thought looked like a cross between a 5-Series GT, Subaru and an X6, but after a dose of ugly pills. So when we got an email in to say there’s a second version of the Opera – catchily named the Vygor Opera.2 – we thought Vygor must have bucked up their ideas from the first Opera and employed someone with a proper Italian flair for design. No such luck.

Peugeot puts RCZ designer on Twitter

Fri, 18 Jun 2010

Like many automakers, Peugeot is now making conspicuous use of social media platforms as a component in its new car launch campaigns and in order to manage customer relations online. For its new RCZ coupe, Peugeot in the UK has been running a social media campaign under the strap line "It chooses you", with associated Twitter and Facebook accounts – which culminated with a member of the public winning an RCZ last week. For auto designers, there was little interest in the campaign up until last week, when Peugeot put RCZ designer Boris Reinmöller behind a computer terminal and opened him up to a public Q+A session through its Twitter account.
