Toyota drops plans for Electric Cars

Toyota has decided that there is little future for electric cars and has reigned in its plans to build battery electric vehicles. When you think of hybrid cars, you think of Toyota. Euro NCAP latest results: Ford Kuga, Audi A4

The Blue Oval’s SUV notched up three stars while the Audi A4 only scored two in pedestrian impact tests. The Ford Kuga also achieved four stars for child occupancy and five for adult occupancy.

NHTSA probes Grand Cherokee fires

U.S. auto safety regulators are investigating the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee SUV after complaints about fires inside the car. In a filing Monday, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said it has received three reports of fires in the headliner of the SUV near the passenger-side sun visor.
