This is a Ford branded charger but will work on other EV cars like the Nissan Leaf, the Chevy Volt, Ford Focus Electric, Fusion Energi, C-Max Energi, just to name a few. I included a picture of the charge handle for reference. I think the only car that doesn't use this standard plug is the Tesla.
The charger is rated at 32A, 208VAC-240VAC To put it simply, if you use your standard cord for charging, it takes anywhere from 8-12 hours to charge from almost dead. This charger can have the same charge in the car in less then 3 hours at the most. And it's more efficient. This auction is for a NEW Leviton station. It comes with the wall mount also. SPD offers scholarships for autumn program with Volkswagen Group
Wed, 10 Aug 2011The Scuola Politecnica di Design is giving away eight scholarships for its autumn program in collaboration with the Volkswagen Group. The scholarships are aimed at students with degrees in transportation or car design, automotive engineering or equivalent degrees that show a high level of potential. The successful eight students will be given scholarships and will begin their studies at the Milan-based SPD on October 24. The awarding of the scholarships will be decided by a ‘motivational interview', an evaluation of the student's portfolio and the submission of a conceptual project assignment, with the election process being conducted jointly by the SPD and Volkswagen.
