New Vauxhall Meriva (2010) spotted

But we think it’s a bit of a ringer for the new Kia Venga we saw at Frankfurt last week. Still, there’s a limit to what you can do with a set criteria and a five-seat MPV, so that’s no huge surprise.

Volkswagen Touran Match released

Volkswagen has announced the VW Touran Match It’s hard to get excited about the Touran, with its boxy profile and drab – though comfortable – interior. But it’s very practical with its three rows of seats, which can actually be removed (they aren’t too heavy) giving you a very useful van for lugging gubbins around. But the Touran is a decent enough drive, even if the ride is a bit on the firm side., and its build quality shows through in the distinct lack of shake, rattle and roll.

Mazda Biante Granz

Mazda will be displaying the latest variant of the Biante minivan series at the 42nd Tokyo motor show. Called the Granz, the vehivle a specially designed ‘high-roof' version of the mid-sized MPV – measuring in at just over 1800mm in height. Visually, the Granz takes stylistic influence from the Kodo design language – in particular, the ‘signature wing' on the front fascia.
