The engines are the 5103cc(314 cu. in.)300 and 51 UD, the 5657cc(345cu. in.) 310 and 57 UD and the 5655cc(345 cu. in.) 6/98 and 6/98T. Also, these bearings will fit LEYLAND AND MORRIS 4 CYLINDER ENGINES, with some bearings left over, as they are packed in sets for 6 cylinders. The Four cylinder engines that they are fit for are the 3,770cc(232 cu.in.) 200, 4/98 from 1962 in Terrier trucks FG, TR, WF, 420, 550, 830 AND 900. And it might not be the sort of Lotus Exige you were expecting: this new S model now runs the supercharged 3.5-litre V6 from the Evora S, meaning it not only boasts 35% more power than before, but it is also 191kg heavier. Lotus Exige S: the spec Lotus’s long-held mantra has been ‘add lightness’, but Bahar’s future plans call for models to rival the 458, the California and the Rapide, essentially bigger cars with bigger engines.
Audi to buy Ducati – the four rings expands from four wheels
Mon, 12 Mar 2012Audi has struck an exclusive deal giving it first rights to buy Italian superbike manufacturer Ducati, CAR can reveal.The exclusivity deal gives Audi until mid April when the deal will likely be finalised, according to high-ranking sources contacted by CAR. Ducati's liabilities are around €200 million [earlier report said €800 million, this has been corrected], and our sources suggest the total purchase price is about €250m-€300m. This is a bold move by Audi, which sees the long-term advantage in moving into two wheels as well as four.
