Design For the Real China contest seeks innovative solutions to everyday issues

The ‘Design for the Real China' contest has launched, challenging designers across all disciplines to develop innovative solutions to everyday problems that arise in China. Delivering a brief of ‘Show us a solution to a China-located problem or opportunity you have identified', the competition organizers want to see entries that address localized problems or opportunities. Participants have to submit a short video explaining both the problem they've identified and how they'll solve it.

New York, California first to get electric Focus

Customers in New York and California will be the first to take delivery of the 2012 Focus EV, according to a message posted on a Focus Forum from Ford marketing. That also explains some new material from the company which says, "2012 Focus electric; coming spring 2012." The Focus will launch in 19 markets, including Chicago, Detroit and Seattle, but it will hit the coasts first.
