Duct tape is the friend of even the least-handy handy man.
So why is it also a go-to tool for NASCAR, NHRA and pretty much all forms of racing crews?
After all, they're some of the handiest people around, aren't they?

As any failed do-it-yourself homeowner or mechanic can tell you, the reason anyone uses duct tape is because it's quick and easy to use. NASCAR teams use duct tape to adjust body panels on the car to improve downforce -- no, we're not kidding about that -- or just simply to hold parts together until the end of the race.
It can also be used to make quick fixes to hoses and loose or hanging wires.

Crews will even use duct tape to block or redirect airflow to various parts of the grille to keep the engine running at peak efficiency.

It's been said that Duct Tape can fix anything from a broken heart to the crack of dawn

Duct tape is such a popular RACING fix that you might even hear it referred to as 200 mph tape -- a well-earned nickname.

2013 Mercedes E63 AMG & E63 AMG S Facelift arrives

Thu, 10 Jan 2013

Ahead of a debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show, Mercedes has revealed the new E63 AMG saloon and Estate and the E63 AMG S. Just as we saw the other day, the 2013 E63 AMG – both saloon and estate – get a bold new treatment, particularly at the front, to differentiate further the AMG from the more prosaic E Class models. The more butch front end gets the new single headlight treatment of the regular E Class, but there’s a central splitter and great big air ducts forming an AMG ‘A’ shape to improve air flow under the car.

Driven: Mercedes-Benz C-Class

Wed, 11 Jun 2008

Just over 25 years ago, in November 1982, Mercedes Chief Designer Bruno Sacco introduced his new 'baby' 190, codenamed W201. Billed as the new compact Mercedes, it was a successful model that lasted a full ten years until being replaced by the first C-Class (W202). This model – the first with the triangular tail lamps – lasted until 2000 when it was replaced by the W203, a more softly-styled update of the W202 model, with the 'peanut-shaped' linked double headlamps.
