This manifold is a direct replacement for any LS1 LS6  intake but has provisions for the larger LS2 style throttle body. It also has a 96mm inlet that can be opened up to 101mm

The Speedmaster line of manifolds for LSX type engines was designed to improve extra plenum area which is very advantageous on larger displacement versions of the LS1 LS6 engine. If you have a performance LS engine the stock manifold will not be able to do the job. Additionally if you are running a supercharger or turbocharger a plastic manifold will not survive a backfire, the Speedmaster Elite series manifold is your answer.

NAIAS saw the unveiling of Ford's new Fusion sedan. By adopting the global 'One Ford' design language, Ford is hoping the midsized sedan will build on its D-segment sales with just one product, with this car also replacing the European-market Mondeo. The Fusion is the first production car to adopt the Kinetic 2.0 design language debuted by the EVOS concept at Frankfurt in 2011.

U-turn for wheelchair row taxi firm

Tue, 14 Jan 2014

A TAXI firm that refused to pick up wheelchair users has had to perform a U-turn. Middlesbrough-based Boro Cars, the largest taxi firm in the North East, had originally said refusing disabled passengers was "morally wrong", but it brought in the policy anyway. The firm insists that minibuses cost drivers more to rent and that the standard fares, which are the only fares that can be charged to disabled passengers, are not high enough to earn operators any money.

-- When does a cartoonist become a short-track racer? When he's Bob Englehart of the Hartford Courant, and he writes a book about his childhood in and around Indiana, a childhood spent fixated on oval racers. Englehart, a Pulitzer Prize finalist for his political cartooning, explores why America's youth are willing to risk their lives to drive in circles -- and why he himself is so addicted to it.
