The XER lobes have been proven to make big horsepower & torque thanks to their aggressive ramp rates & healthy lift. Called IntelliLink, the connectivity technology arrives as standard equipment on the 2012 Verano sedan, before being added to the Regal and the LaCrosse. The Enclave SUV gets it in 2013.

It mates a V12 petrol engine with a brace of electric motors - one to drive the car's ancillary systems like cooling and power assistance, and the larger one to drive the rear wheels. This teaser video doesn't give away any incredible performance figures, but it does afford a glimpse into Maranello's thinking for its new hypercar.
