Up for auction is a new manual boost controller.  This part allows the boost level to be adjusted on turbocharged cars.  It's a very simple ball and spring pressure relief valve, that connects in the vacuum line to the wastegate actuator.  By adjusting the valve, the wastegate can be controlled to open later for an increase in boost and performance.  This design allows for fast spool up, by keeping the wastegate completely closed until the set boost level is reached, at which time the valve opens allowing the wastegate to open.  Cheap bleeder valves boost slower as they allow the wastegate to open as soon as pressure starts building.  This is my standard model, with 3/16" hose barbs.  If you'd prefer 1/4" hose barbs please see my other auctions.  If you need it fast and can't wait until the end of the auction, please check my other auctions for a fixed price auction.

There are many cheap boost control valves for sale on Ebay, so why buy from me when you can buy a cheaper valve?  I start with an industrial pressure relief valve, calibrated to be adjustable from 0-20psi.  That means the valve is engineered for a purpose that's nearly interchangeable with the task we are trying to accomplish.  There's no guesswork, or fighting with a handful of mystery springs from the hardware store trying to reach the boost level you want.  Instead of looking like a bunch of random brass plumbing parts from the hardware store, this valve simply looks better.  The brass construction will also take a really nice shine with light polishing.  The adjustment uses a knurled knob, so the boost can be adjusted without tools.  Once you're happy with the boost level, you can lock the adjustment with the jam nut.  The assembly consists of solid brass parts, a stainless spring and stainless check ball.  There's nothing that can really fail or wear out.  This valve is manufactured in the USA, by me.  Your dollars stay in the US, and you don't have to worry that the item you're buying was built by slave labor in China.  This is a proven design.  The basic layout is many years old, and this style valve is very popular with the Ford 2.3L Turbo crowd.
I ship my items very quickly, usually the same day the payment is received.  Bid with confidence, I've sold a couple hundred of these, without a single complaint.

This auction is open to U.S. bidders only.  I do not offer international shipping.
The shipping charge listed is for destinations inside the continental USA.  There is no warranty expressed or implied.  I ship as soon as possible after receiving payment by US Postal Service.  What you see is what you'll get, the package contains one manual boost controller, and an illustrated instruction sheet to aid installation.  It's the buyer's responsibility to understand the risks associated with modifying a car.  Simply cranking up the boost on a car in poor tune, or ill health can be destructive.  I take no responsibility for how you use this valve or the consequences of those actions.  If you don't know what you're doing, please study this topic on your own before bidding.

Thanks for looking, and happy bidding!

CAR tech looks at the similarities between Jenson Button's weekend racer and McLaren's hybrid supercar: Gives you wings A Formula One car wins or loses by its aero package – and the P1’s a true aero car with a mighty set-up. It has the highest amount of downforce of any road car on sale – so you couldn’t get closer to F1 with number plates if you tried.

By Alex Michaelides First Official Pictures 05 August 2009 00:01 Take a look at these first official pictures of the Mercedes Fascination concept’s more sober cousin, the Mercedes E-class estate. It’s the latest variation to join the burgeoning Mercedes E-class family, leaving only the convertible and – possibly – the Fascination-emulating sport wagon to come. At the front, you’d be hard-pushed to find a difference between the new E-class estate and the saloon.

Cycling Ace Continues To Impress As He Aims For Le Mans Start

Tue, 02 Sep 2014

OLYMPIC cyclist Chris Hoy remains on course to make his Le Mans racing debut, despite narrowly missing out on the points in the penultimate round of the 2014 British GT Championship. His Nissan GT Academy Team RJN GT-R finished the weekend’s British GT race at Brands Hatch in 11th place, although this was an improvement on a mid-grid 16th place starting position for the two-hour race. Sharing the car with 2011 Nissan GT Academy winner Jann Mardenborough, Hoy started first and battled to 11th place before handing the car over to the GP3 Series and Le Mans racer for the race to the flag.
