Chrysler rolls out 'No Payments for 90 Days' incentives

Under the “No Payments for 90 Days” promotion, buyers of 2011 or 2012 Chrysler, Jeep, Dodge or Ram Truck vehicles who finance their purchases through Ally Financial won't have to make payments for three months. Akio Toyoda named Toyota president amid global crisis
Tue, 20 Jan 2009Akio Toyoda, scion of Toyota Motor Corp.'s founding family and now its next president, will bring a U.S. perspective to the automaker as it battles falling sales and an unprecedented financial crisis. Toyoda, 52, will succeed current President Katsuaki Watanabe in June, the company said Tuesday, ending weeks of speculation.
U.S. set to raise fuel-economy standard
Tue, 19 May 2009Government regulators will get their prize of higher fuel-economy standards, and automakers will get the certainty of a national emissions standard, under new rules to be proposed Tuesday by President Barack Obama. The fleet average fuel economy for automakers will rise to 35.5 mpg in 2016 under the president's proposal--10 mpg more than today's mandate. At the same time, the president's proposed rule will cut carbon emissions, thought to be a key factor in global warming.
