NOS Ampco top cylinder oilers  for any auto, marine, truck, CNG/LPG or tractor engine.  This is a reliability accessory designed to automatically deliver a mist of oil vapor into the air/fuel mixture below the carb, by manifold vacuum, to lubricate valve guides, stems, seats, cylinder bores and rings - everywhere the crankcase oil cannot reach.  As we are now forced to run dry, unleaded/ethanol gasoline in engines designed to run on leaded gas, the Ampco lubricator is essential for classic engines.  Your engine will run quieter, smoother, and stuck valves will be a thing of the past!  The Ampco lubricator will remove carbon deposits which can cause pre-ignition, reduce valve to seat recession, increase compression, and increase fuel economy by reducing friction in the hottest part of your engine.

The Ampco top cylinder oiler is made in the USA, and is fully adjustable for any displacement engine. The nozzle provided  must be installed below the carb or throttle plate in the intake manifold, and requires a 1/8" pipe thread.  Ampco lubricators can be fitted to ANY engine!  Over 25 carb plates kits are available for classic engines.  The oiler nozzle can also be installed into a PCV or vacuum hose utilizing our universal 'T' adaptor (included).  Recommended lubricant is Marvel Mystery Oil.  Questions? This is a cool, effective accessory for any engine, especially if you are interested in long engine life!  Outfit your collection or club - Quantities available. These really work! I will ship wordwide! Postage depends on location.

BEWARE - E15 GASOLINE IS HERE (15% Ethanol)! This can harm your engine!

Town/country fuel price gap closes

Fri, 21 Feb 2014

THE PETROL PUMP postcode lottery, meaning rural drivers lose out to town motorists on price, appears to be coming to an end. The gap between prices in country districts compared with urban areas has closed from around 5p a litre to as low as 2p, according to the AA. This dip in rural prices has contributed to a general nationwide fall in the cost of petrol, which now averages 129.63p a litre compared with 130.46p in mid-January.

Chancellor to ‘freeze fuel duty’ until 2015?

Mon, 14 Oct 2013

The chancellor of the exchequer, George Osborne, has announced that fuel duty will be frozen until 2015 – if the savings can be found to pay for it. The announcement came during a speech at the Conservative party conference, in which George Osborne said: “Provided we can find the savings to pay for it, I want to freeze fuel duty for the rest of this parliament.” The 2p-a-litre rise planned by the Labour government for September 2014 would be cancelled, continuing a freeze that has lasted two-and-a-half years already. But this is conditional on the treasury finding the funds to cover it.

Better Place EV Battery Swap business goes bust

Tue, 28 May 2013

It seemed like a good idea: take the cost of batteries out of the cost of buying an electric car and instead charge EV owners to use ‘Battery Swap’ stations where depleted batteries could be swapped for fully charged ones in the time it takes to fill an ICE car with petrol. But it’s all gone a bit Pete Tong. Better Place – which partnered with Renault in 2009 to make the battery swap technology viable – has failed to find anyone to add to the $750 million already involved in the project and has filed for bankruptcy.
