The 65,000-mile California car is claimed to be “one of the most original 101-series Giulietta Sprints in existence today with all-original interior, mostly original paint, perfect gauges, factory engine-compartment components, no accidents, and straight chrome and trim.” Curiously, the engine and transmission were removed and rebuilt in 1975 but were never reinstalled. The second in a series of concepts that will culminate with yet another variant set to be unveiled in Detroit, this 'notchback' provides further insight to the future small car design direction for Ford. Ford's European design team, which created the Verve concepts, applied Ford's kinetic design philosophy and built on the look of its hatchback sibling.

Proper car anoraks may also remember the ‘Chinese Rolls Royce‘, a Phantom ‘Homage’ from Geely that came equipped with a ‘Throne’ in the back to transport a lone plutocrat. It looked a lot like a Russian cold war ZIL meets cartoon Phantom and there was no mistaking it was a Chinese car for a Chinese market.
