Hyundai Genesis coupe gets power boost from California tuners GReddy for SEMA

Thu, 08 Oct 2009

The Hyundai Genesis coupe made a splash at the SEMA show last year with a string of eye-catching displays. And this year, it's back and more powerful than ever. Customized by California tuners GReddy, the Genesis coupe gets boosted to 350 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque, helped in large part by the company's turbo upgrade kit and a cat-back exhaust system.

Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe

Tue, 09 Jan 2007

By Ben Oliver Motor Shows 09 January 2007 05:53 Drophead Coupe makes waves in Detroit CAR Online brought you the first pictures of the new open-top Phantom and exclusive video footage last month, but this £260,000 monster still stole the Detroit show when Rolls-Royce chairman Ian Robertson officially unveiled it in what will be by far its biggest market. The 100EX concept on which the production car is based stole the 2004 Geneva show too, and features which we all thought would only be seen on the concept, such as the teak ‘decking’ on the hood cover and the rear-hinged suicide doors, have made it to the finished car. Production starts at Goodwood this summer.

BMW i3 tops Sunday Times best Electric Cars list

Mon, 21 Oct 2013

The BMW i3 EV tops Sunday Times best Electric Cars list Just as they did with the new Range Rover last year, the Sunday Times has declared the new BMW i3 EV the pick of the bunch of electric and hybrid cars on sale in the UK, despite the i3 not yet arriving on UK roads. But there seems a good chance that the Sunday Times have got it right this time too, just as they did with the new Range Rover. The Sunday Times praised BMW for biding its time with the launch of their first electric and range-extender car (the next, the BMW i8 supercar, will arrive in 2014) and said the i3′s big appeal lies not in its cutting edge electric motor or battery technology – because there isn’t any – but in its appeal as a car even without its EV powertrain.
