A friend of mine bought the ORIGINAL body molds for the MCLAREN M6BGT.... from Specialised Moldings back in the 70's...When he purchased the molds this 1/4 scale came with it ...I believe this to be a knockoff of the wind tunnel model . This has been in cold storage since then...45+ years...NO serious damage ...maybe a tiny nick .....a little dirty but in very nice condition. Extremely rare piece of old racing history...This is the ONLY ONE ...This could make an extraordinary display model .....This MCLAREN measures ...42" long and 18" wide.... Back in 1985 ..I myself went to England....went to MCLAREN ...sat down and Spoke with Ron Dennis...looking for some suspension parts ...he was not that easy to get along with ...He was the NEW owner...anyway ...we also went to Specialised Moldings and were let out back in the body mold archives...what a place ... In case you didn't know ... Bruce McLaren started this project...this was going to be his ultimate street car...he subsequently died in a crash ...never finished his dream ...although he did make a few of these ...believe it to be 3 of them ...one is in Aucland NZ ...his home town...the other was in California ...the third I was told it was on the west coast somewhere....and maybe another made from leftover parts ......VERY VERY rare car....This is an ORIGINAL ...from Specialised Moldings .... there is NO other ...this is a very rare piece of history ......Last two pictures is of my kids ...all three of them ...if you need any more info call me ...Pete at ...207-375-4206..... .........PS ...Forget the shipping calculator ...will depend on final location ...
