Complete with uprated 230PS (or 227bhp) engine, deeper bodykit and an interior makeover, the special edition is the fastest version of the hot hatch to date. The engineers have tweaked the 2.0-litre turbo's engine management, to extract the additional 30bhp.

Honda has revealed the production-ready CR-Z at the Detroit Motor Show Honda are very keen to catch up with Toyota in the hybrid car wars. Not that long ago ABT Sportsline unveiled a 700 hp Audi RS6 Avant, an absolutely rabid grocery-getter that can make the sprint to 60 in just 3.4 seconds. ABT's RS6 Avant packs 25 percent more power than the stock version of the RS6 Avant, which made an already hair-raising 560 hp.
