Mercedes Benz Brown Bakelite Center Console Tray W111 Fintail 111 841 0274 on 2040-parts.com
Poplarville, Mississippi, US
Actual item pictured. Just this one available. Brown bakelite center console tray from a 1965 Mercedes Benz W111 220Sb sedan. Mercedes Benz part number 111 841 0274. Fits many more Mercedes Benz 1960's vehicles . Please check part number and dimensions to be sure this will fit your car before purchasing. This brown bakelite beauty is about 17.5" long x 7.5" wide at the rear x 5.5" wide at the front x 1 7/8" deep. Mounting holes are about 4 5/8' apart measured center to center. Mounting screws included (but not pictured). Overall good condition. Top of tray shows normal fading and wear from use. The bottom of the tray shows the original color. Bakelite is solid overall, but there are a couple of destractions... There is a 2" long chip out of the passenger side lip edge and somebody drilled a couple of extra holes in the back of the tray (to fit some aftermarket accessory). The structural strength of the tray does not seem to be affected by these holes although some surface cracking can be seen on the bottom. Great, sturdy, usable item for your daily driver, or perfect for a budget restoration. Priced to sell. Shipping weight 2 lbs.

BMW 7-series hybrid due in 2009
Mon, 07 Jul 2008By Nick Gibbs Motor Industry 07 July 2008 14:30 BMW will launch a hybrid petrol version of the newly unveiled 7-series in 2009, but admits it’s more for green-leaning V8 addicts than seriously eco-aware bosses. Even with the latest lithium-ion batteries, the forthcoming 4.4-litre V8 petrol-electric version will struggle to match the astonishing 39.2mpg and 192g/km of CO2 of the new six-cylinder diesel, especially when BMW will launch stop-start technology for the whole range within two years. The hybrid is likely to cost several thousand more than the £65,000 it’s estimated you’ll need to buy the regular, twin-turbo 750i that goes on sale in November 2008.
