Up for auction today is a new Wittrin ABS pressure regulator relay for Mercedes Benz, part number 001-542-67-19. Also included is a used, tested Bosch ABS power relay, part number 0-332-002-171. Made in Germany. Should fit many 1980s models, especially the W124 body type. These are the relays under the cover on the ABS pump. Buyer is responsible for verifying compatibility with his vehicle.

The recent golf ball catching Guinness world record set by David Coulthard and Jake Shepherd finally turns up on video. In another of those ‘We didn’t know there was a world record for that’ stories, we reported earlier this month that a new Guinness World Record had been set for the furthest golf shot caught in a car. A Mercedes SLS AMG driven by David Coulthard had managed to catch a golf ball driven down the runway at Dunsfold by professional golfer Jake Shepherd.

Toyota’s Hydrogen Fuel Cell power supply at their US HQ It’s been a pipe dream for a long time; harness the planet’s plentiful supplies of hydrogen to produce power. That’s getting a lot closer with a number of hydrogen fuel cell cars coming to the real car market in the next few years, and no doubt as part of their mission to convince the world that hydrogen is the future, Toyota are demonstrating the potential by using a hydrogen fuel cell to produce power at their US HQ. Toyota has installed a 1.1 megawatt stationary fuel cell at its Los Angeles HQ which is capable of producing half its power needs during the heavy-load summer period.

Chevrolet Corvette gets more expensive for 2012

General Motors has released prices for the 2012 Chevrolet Corvette--and the cost is going up. According to information given to dealers, the sticker price for base cars is going up by between $480 and $1,150, depending on the model. There is one exception--the sticker price of the top-of-the-line ZR1 is decreasing by $75, to $112,500, including the $975 shipping charge.
