Following the leak of Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster photos and an undisguised car in London we now get the official reveal of the V12 Vantage Roadster. The leak of photos we had of the Aston Martin V12 Vantage Roadster last week (assuming they were a leak rather than a Photoshop) managed to make the new soft top V12 Vantage look decidedly bland (not an easy thing to do with an Aston). But the photos of the V12 Vantage Roadster we had at the weekend were much more appealing; a white V12 Vantage Roadster obviously on an official photoshoot in appealing London locations.

Fiat chief tours Chrysler headquarters

Fiat S.p.A. CEO Sergio Marchionne and a team of Fiat senior executives visited Chrysler LLC headquarters in Auburn Hills, Mich., on Saturday morning, according to a letter to Chrysler employees from CEO Bob Nardelli. The Fiat team visited a display of vehicles in Chrysler's design dome and met with Nardelli; Tom LaSorda, co-president; Frank Klegon, executive vice president of product development; Frank Ewasyshyn, executive vice president of manufacturing, and other executives.

New additions have been made to the design management teams at General Motors, both in Asia and in Europe. Effective today (August 1), Friedhelm Engler begins his new role as Director of Design for the Pan Asian Technical Automotive Center (PATAC), based in Shanghai, China.  He is responsible for all design related activities in the joint venture between General Motors and the Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp. Group (SAIC).
