Toyota Auris Hybrid – Frankfurt debut

Tue, 01 Sep 2009

The Toyota Auris Hybrid will be at Frankfurt Toyota are calling this the first application of their Hybrid Synergy Drive in a mainstream model. They’re also calling this a concept, but we know that Toyota will be producing the Auris Hybrid in the UK next year, so take this as a pretty much production-ready car.

Fri, 27 Feb 2009

Ferrari 599 Handling GT Evoluzione By Ben Pulman First Official Pictures 27 February 2009 15:37 Ferrari will unveil two new hardcore GTs in Geneva, a handling pack-equipped 599 and a technological test bed 599XX that combines the lessons learned from the FXX program with the ideas showcased on the Mille Chili car. Yes. It won’t quite be as extreme as the Mille Chili (one thousand kilo) car, but we’re still expecting the 599XX to have many of that car’s features.

It seemed an odd route for the revived De Tomaso to go, and an odd choice of name. The Deauville seems to be halfway between the (poor-selling) BMW 5-Series GT and a Porsche Cayenne.
