1988 Mercruiser 3.7 Litre 170 hp 4 cylinder complete drop in stern drive engine. This is a low hour (389 hours on hour meter) used motor that was just removed from a 1988 Sea Ray boat. It is in good condition and running perfect. It has a new carburetor as well as external charging alternator. The alternator bracket was home built and not great looking but fully functional. It is 100% complete and bolted down to a pallett ready to ship to you. This is a freshwater cooled model with power steering. We test ran it before and after removal from boat and it checks out perfectly. Compression is 170 to 180 in all four cylinders and it runs smooth and quietly. Oil is clean and coolant holds pressure. The previous owner spliced the wire harness direct and removed the Mercruiser plug in style connection. You will need to re- splice yours or simply put the wire harness from your old engine on this one. The photos are current and the engine will be shipped to you exactly as shown. Please see our live running video below this description.
