This is a good used 165 Pre-Alpha Sterndrive Upper Gearcase. Used in freshwater only. Gear ratio is 1.65:1, 24-24 tooth count. Fluid was free from contamination. Unit pressure tested to 15psi without leaks. Shaft splines and gear set in good shape. Inner U-joint in good shape. Outer U-joint is so/so. Paint is decent. Overall nice unit.

The collection belongs to Michael Banfield, who has amassed a huge collection covering the history of the car in the UK.
