Parking fines hit £30 per month

Fri, 20 Sep 2013

BRITISH motorists pay more than £30 million each month in parking fines, figures suggest. More tickets are being issued this year by councils than last year and there has been a 13% rise in fines issued on a Sunday, according to data obtained by LV=. The car insurer calculated councils have handed out more than 890,000 parking fines per month in 2013 - a 4% increase on 2012 figures - and, based on an average amount of £42 per ticket and excluding any successful appeals, drivers are now paying in excess of £30 million each month.

Chevrolet Orlando MPV price & models

Wed, 01 Dec 2010

The Chevrolet Orlando starts at £16,395 (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({}); Chevrolet introduced their compact MPV – the Chevrolet Orlando – at this year’s Paris Motor Show as a tame version of the original Orlando Concept we saw back in 2008. It’s sort of what you expect from a Concept – the drama goes when production dawns – but the production Orlando is a bit visually underwhelming. But despite the less than eye-catching exterior the Orlando has done well to pack seven seats in to the underpinnings of the Cruze/Volt, with the rear rows of seats able to move and fold to give decent flexibility.

Jaguar Land Rover SVO Pebble Beach debuts – Range Rover Sport SVR, Jaguar F-Type Project 7 & ‘new’ Lightweight E-Type

Mon, 04 Aug 2014

Jaguar Land Rover SVO Pebble Beach debuts include the Jaguar F-Type Project 7 Jaguar Land Rover’s new Special Operations Division may only just have come in to being, but that’s not stopping them delivering three cars for their North American debut at the Pebble Beach Event later this month. (adsbygoogle=window.adsbygoogle||[]).push({});First of the SVO cars on show will be the new Range Rover Sport SVR, Land Rover’s most extreme performance car to date, which has just run the Nurburgring in a record time for an SUV (although we’re not sure many buyers will really care) and which should find a ready market in the US. Second of the SVO cars is the new Jaguar F-Type Project 7, which with its open-topped default mode will doubtless have American buyers from the sunny states opening their cheque books on sight.
