Return policy details:Return policy; I really don’t have time for returns so it is always best to ask questions before you buy in ensure you get the correct parts the first time. EBay Is forcing sellers to offer 14 day money back option starting on June 1 2012. Last year eBay forced sellers to remove email addresses from listings so eBay could force more people to join eBay to send messages and make purchase through eBay. And of course make it safer to buy on eBay. Of course this makes it next to impossible for my customers to send me pictures of their boat parts so I can identify them before purchase. EBay also will give sellers a discount on final fee value (EBay fees) for sales that don’t use the messaging system but of course more messaging is needed without pictures so please message or call me if you are not sure what parts you need before you buy, I would rather pay the extra 5% and have you message me than to cause more returns. I always put my email address in my feedback area for warrantee & pictures. 1) If you really want to return for cash back there will be a 25% restocking fee and you pay all shipping and sales fees I incur. A $25.00 return handling fee may also be added on top of restocking fee’s. In other words don’t buy parts you don’t need just to see what they look like. 2) If I send you the wrong parts and it is my mistake I pay all fees, shipping and you get 100% of your money back. I make the decision who made the mistake and usually the mistake is obvious. 3) NO returns or refunds on installed, used or damaged items. Items must all be in original condition and you are required to inspect all items and ask for refund before attempting installation. 4) Unused items may also be returned for cash back or store credit with a restocking fee possible less than 25% 5) If your items are shipped to a second party and they claim damage was done when they got the items there will be no warrantee, refunds or credit. 6) For any refund, credit or return all items must be shipped directly to you the buyer. 7) Any damage in shipping claims must be filed with me within 3 days of receipt of items. 8) There is a 14 day cash back policy for all returns. After that there is only store credit or replacement and you pay all shipping. 9) Check individual items for warrantee. Hydraulics 2 year on defects. No warrantee on line threads on pumps or hydraulic rams. If you strip threads you keep them and no refunds of any kind. 10) I cover shipping insurance and if damaged when item arrives shipping 3 day coverage. The shipping insurance does not cover install damage. 11) Any remanufactured part is covered by shipping insurance but not covered for dropping and breaking after arrival. It is 3 days to inspect for damage and 14 day return policy undamaged. Example; You buy gimbal housing and inspect and it is fine. You take it to mechanic and he breaks it (NO RETURN OR WARRANTEE) If something is broken when you open package contact me through the eBay messaging system and check my/your feedback for my email address so you can send me pictures. 12) I am not like Wal-Mart when it comes to returns. There are sometimes heavy shipping fees for returns and of course eBay, pay pal and credit card fees to consider in the sales. In the store eBay gets 10% on every purchase. 13) No returns on partial orders unless authorized by me. For instance bellows/transom kits if you decide not to use a part but used the rest of the kit there is no return on that part so please don’t ask. If you wanted to return let’s say the shift cable bellows from a set then the rest of the kit would cost more sold individually so there would not be a refund, it would cost more. 14) All returns must be authorized by me before returning. This may help you determine what parts you need so you won’t have to return. Type 1 is 1963 through 1975, Pre alpha 1976 through 1982, Alpha 1 Generation 1 1983 through 1991, Alpha 1 Generation 2 1991 to date and Bravo is 1987 to date. Of course these are actual but manufactures may have used older models and your boat may have been upgraded. Refund will be given as:Money back or exchange (buyer's choice) Item must be returned within:30 Days Returns Accepted:Returns Accepted Return shipping will be paid by:Buyer Restocking Fee:No Mercruiser Shift Cable E/Glide:Mercruiser Alpha 1 Gen 1 2 Pre alpha Type 1 63 UP Mercruiser Alpha Gen 1 2 Shift:New Shift cable type 1 pre alpha

Mercruiser Type Alpha One Generation 1 Gen 2 Two New Shift Cable E/Z-Glide Pre

Free Shipping in the US! International shipping $10.00 WOW!

I have been selling these with my bellows sets and well, NO COMPLAINTS!

This Auction is for 1 shift cable with ends! From 1963 up to date and it is for all Mercruiser boats except Bravo’s. So this is for type 1, pre alpha, alpha 1 gen 1 & gen 2. This runs from engine to drive. (Through Transom) About 6 foot standard!

I call this an E/Z Glide Cable!

These cables have a nylon or teflon coating that makes them easily glide through outer casing for smooter operation!

Please read on, it is in your best interest!

These are also listed in my ebay store for $65.00 so dont wait.

Ok to begin with Mercruiser is a sub-division of Mercury so I will call the parts Mercruiser, Mercury actually has the reference of outboard motors and Mercruiser is I/O (inboard/outboard) Either way they are connected!

I have tried about all the aftermarket brands and of course, OEM Mercruiser could be the best if they don’t run out of stock and substitute aftermarket. You have to remember that Mercruiser (by law) can put their brand name on anything because they have had the original copyright. I am seeing either Mercruiser or Boat manufactures do this starting in the last 5 years. I don’t know who is to blame but more and more I am seeing aftermarket parts installed on new boats and people are calling me more and more for my older refurbished parts because the new so called OEM parts are failing.

All the smaller parts are Stainless Steel, Aluminum, Brass, Graphite, Plastic and the inner cable is stainless steel drive end and nylon coated steel with the outer cable shield made of what looks like plastic & nylon coated steel. So all water exposed areas are coated. Never put grease or oil in these or any cable it will gum up in a short time.

As I said I have tried almost all the aftermarket brands and there is something about all of them I don’t like. I will not mention brand names! But some brands use a regular steel wire for lock down at drive end, some use standard steel fork ends for shifting linkage or the cable is steel and uncoated.

So here is what I have done.  I rebuild hundreds of gimbals a year and so my experience is passed on to you. I buy these in bulk from 2 different aftermarket companies and I use the good parts from both of the companies to make what I am calling these Easy Glide shift cables. These are as close to the quality of OEM as I can get without the cost of OEM Mercruiser!

Of course I can’t pay for 2 shift cables to make 1 set so what I do is keep the parts from 2 to sell to my customers and the parts I don’t like I make kits and sell them in bulk (100 lots Cheaper $50+shipping) to Marina’s, eBay sellers and other aftermarket dealers. So you will see my rejects being resold. If you want a 100 lot message me. I can post on eBay! My rejects are as stated $50+ shipping and the high quality for lots of 100 are $60 plus shipping!

If you are looking for tips and or bellows check my other items in my eBay store!

There is a big problem on the net and eBay now. A new manufacturer is selling great bellows sets cheap but they are using magnetic screw clamps and they will rust/corrode and fall off in a few years’ time. End result is your boat sinks! Beware! I would like to say it is the cheaper bellows sets but some sellers want more so it can be any aftermarket set that I don’t sell. I won’t sell them.

If you are an international buyer and want more than 4, message me for a cheaper shipping quote.

Fiat 500 1957 Edition revealed ahead of LA Auto Show

Thu, 14 Nov 2013

While American teenagers were cruising around in finned interstate crushers, Europeans of all ages were discovering the wonder of automobile ownership thanks to the tiny, affordable Fiat Nuova 500, introduced to a car-hungry public in 1957. The little two-cylinder city car was a smash hit, with 3,893,294 built before production ended in 1975. Fiat 500 production resumed in 2007, but the new car was vastly different from the original: Its engine gained two cylinders and moved to the front of the car, while its footprint, though diminutive by American standards, positively dwarfs that of its predecessor.

Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis is the ‘Most Significant Concept Vehicle of 2013′

Sun, 07 Jul 2013

The Hyundai HCD-14 (pictured) is the most significant concept car of 2013 Hyundai does do good concept cars, and they do have a bit of a track record of taking more of what a concept promises through to production than many other car makers. Like the i-Flow that turned in to the Hyundai i40. So the news that a Hyundai concept has grabbed the gong for the most significant concept car of 2013 does auger well for a future where the Hyundai HCD-14 Genesis actually turns in to the next Genesis, with much of what the concept offers still recognisable.

VW Golf R Cabriolet (2013) first official pictures

Thu, 07 Feb 2013

Volkswagen has officially revealed the Mk6 Golf's swansong: the production-ready Golf R Cabriolet. First seen at the 2011's Worthersee enthusiast show, the new Golf R Cabriolet packs the same 266bhp engine as its hard-top sister, but loses its all-wheel drive underpinnings. It's now a front-driver, like a regular Golf GTI.
