I'm selling a like NEW 4 hp Mercury tiller outboard [2014 leftover, bought new in 2015]. It is a 4 stroke, has less than an hour of use and never over 1/2 throttle. I had a 1996 outboard on my boat so  I bought the new 4 hp as a spare motor, to be sure I made it home from fishing. Two months after I bought the Merc, I got a good deal on the main engine and replaced the 1996 outboard with a new Mercury. That said, I no longer need the 4 hp so it is now up for sale. My loss is your gain. It is in perfect condition and looks and runs like a new one. I have the manual, tools, statement of origin and everything that came with the outboard. I'm 64 years old and have used Mercury outboards on all my boats for years without any major repairs needed and have never needed a tow home. If taken care of, this motor should run like a new one for many years. These are selling for $1,378.00, but now you can purchase this as new outboard and save a few hundred dollars. Enjoy bidding.

One Lap of the Web: Virtual Hemi 'Cudas and 1932 Ford memories

Fri, 04 Apr 2014

-- NASCAR driver Casey Mears reunites with a 1932 Ford that he remembers from his childhood and high school years in Bakersfield. His father Roger bought it in 1982 but sold it in the mid-'90s; six years ago, Casey was able to bring it back into the Mears fold. His daughter is 5, the same age Mears was when he was able to reach the pedals.

70% of premium brand cars stolen are taken with the car’s own keys

Thu, 03 Apr 2014

High-end SUVs – like the new Range Rover (pictured) are a prime target for car key thieves There was once a time when all it took to steal a car was a wire coathanger and the ability to hotwire the ignition. But as car makers have got better at securing the second most expensive asset most of us will ever own, car thieves have had to look for a different approach, and that approach is increasingly to relieve owners of the keys to their pride and joy. Cobra – the vehicle tracking firm – are reporting that a massive 70 per cent of all premium brand cars stolen in 2014 – with an average value of £40k, up £6k on 2012 – are being parted from their owners using that owners keys.

College Exhibition: RCA/GM - Fast Forward 2049

Wed, 06 May 2009

First year students at the Royal College of Art recently held an exhibition at the London Transport Museum commemorating the 40th anniversary of the school's vehicle design course. Sponsored by GM's Opel/Vauxhall division, 19 students responded to a brief that called for them to ‘Fast Forward into the Future'. Divided into three groups - Inside Out, Urban Flow and Automark - the students devised their own notions of vehicles for the year 2049, and in some cases entirely reinvented Opel brand values and aesthetics.
