But the big news is that its uprated V8 engine is bound for a roadgoing XKR, to propel Jaguar up the power league and into the realm of Merc's 510bhp SL55 AMG and BMW's 500bhp M6. Inspired by the company's success in this year's Le Mans 24 hour race, Kumho decided to employ its conceptual abilities to create their version of an environmentally-friendly Le Mans car of the future. Designed around innovative tire technology, the 'blue sky' Epoch eco-friendly racing car is the first in a series of concept vehicles set to be developed by Kumho over the next few years.
Subaru BRZ-STI concept
Wed, 02 Nov 2011Subaru is poised to unveil the BRZ-STI concept at the at the LA auto show later this month. A concept version of the all-new rear-wheel drive compact sports car jointly developed with Toyota, the lightweight BRZ shares most of its mechanical components with the Toyota FT-86 concept, which made its first public appearance at the 2009 Tokyo motor show. A world away from Subaru's ‘Sports Car Architecture' concept that has made the rounds at the past few motor shows, the BRZ's design is remarkably similar to that of the FT-86.
