Item: Fits any V6 Outboard Lower Unit... Johnson, Evinrude, Mercury, Yamaha, etc. This nose cone is constructed of cast aluminum and will fit the front of a stock lower unit to reduce the angle of the gearcase housing, lengthening the transition from the gearcase nose to its trailing edge, reducing the chance of building a vacuum pocket on the side of the gearcase.  The addition of this nose cone will also increase handling.  It can be attached to your lower unit by either welding, epoxy, bondo or a similar adhesive.  This is a very simple installation.  You don't have to remove your lower unit or pull the gears out of the lower unit to have it welded and certainly not to use an adhesive to epoxy it in place.

Future Audis may time traffic lights for you

Tue, 11 Mar 2014

Here's a trick efficiency-chasing hypermilers have been using for years: spotting the cycles of stoplights from 100 to 200 yards out and letting the car coast up to the light just before it turns green, then carrying on without ever letting the car come to a complete stop. These hypermilers, along with professional truck drivers, do this because they know that accelerating from a standstill burns the greatest amount of fuel, and because letting a car coast up to the light with the automatic transmission downshifting by itself is easier on the transmission than stomping on the brakes right beneath the stoplight. Oh, and it's easier on the brake pads as well.
