Mitsubishi has announced that the high-performance Lancer Evolution is returning to the UK – in a limited run of just 40 Evolution X FQ-440 MR editions, celebrating 40 years of Mitsubishi on these shores. Honda's future tech aims to mitigate pedestrian collisions

Honda showed off some of its smart future technology on Aug. 28 in Detroit. The company is hoping to reduce accidents between motorcycles and cars, and pedestrians and cars.

Motorcycle deaths spike in 2012

Motorcycle fatalities rose by 9 percent in 2012, totaling more than 5,000 deaths, according to data released Wednesday by the helmet laws play a part, as well. According to the GHSA, only 19 states currently require motorcycle drivers to wear a helmet at all times. This number is down from 26 states in 1997, showing the willingness of states to repeal helmet-required legislation.
