Mercury Sport Jet 90 Jetdrive Unit with Rudder Assembly. From a 1994 Bayliner Jazz boat but I think they put them in more than one brand of boat. It is in good used condition. I did not repaint it to make it pretty so what you see is what it really is. Bought the boat from the family of an old guy that passed away. It had been stored for quite a while they said. I drained the oil, one so I could see how it looked & type to tell you about it, & two as if being shipped it needs to be drained. The oil was dirty but there was lots of it so I think it was full. Looking at the top flat plate WITH MY FINGER IN THE PICTURE the little spring on the seal broke as I was removing the plate & taking the jetdrive out of the boat so you will want to replace that seal. The thin gasket pictured on top of the thick boot type gasket has a little damage on the one corner from when I removed it. Looking through the grate on the bottom the impeller looks good with no chips. 2 of the bolts on the very back for outer bottom plate, the ones that attach the large outer bottom plate laying next to the jetdrive in pictures, are oversized & have been replaced. Prior to removing this I attached the motor to a water hose & test ran it in my driveway. Everything ran & turned as it should.

Offered as described & pictures are part of the description. It is a used boat part & I do not offer a warranty. Sold just like it sits right where it sits.

Nissan Juke-R: What happens when a GT-R and a crossover get too cozy

Tue, 04 Oct 2011

Shoehorning a twin-turbo V6 from a Nissan GT-R into the little Juke crossover--that's the type of craziness we've come to expect to show up at the annual SEMA show in Las Vegas. But Nissan's not waiting for SEMA. Its European tech center has performed the powertrain transplant, with the help of race team Ray Mallock Ltd., to create the Juke-R.

Top Gear answers critics of Electric Car Test. Again.

Wed, 03 Aug 2011

Nissan LEAF runs out of electrickery in Lincoln on the Top Gear Test Top Gear and Electric Cars do have a habit of not getting on. And they didn’t get on in the latest Top Gear test when Jeremy (in a Nissan LEAF) and James (in a Peugeot iOn) set out to demonstrate the shortcomings of EVs, the same shortcomings we we bang on about constantly. The piece by Andy Wilman on Top Gear’s site is in response to an article in the Times, where Nissan complain that ‘…‘Clarkson didn’t give our electric cars a sporting chance.’ But he did, with the Top Gear piece designed to do nothing more than debunk the claims companies like Nissan make for their electric cars.
