MG Midget 1500 Engine. I received this engine when I bought my 1979 MG Midget Convertible. It looks to be mostly complete even with the original Stromberg carburetor attached. When I got it I immediately put it in a dry place and poured some Marvel Mystery Oil in it to keep it lubricated. I believe it will crank. Mileage is unknown but I believe it came out of a low mileage rear end collison car as the same car this engine came out of gave my car some front end parts.

That’s meant some pretty rigorous shakedowns going on, with a total of 181 prototype Discovery Sports covering 750,000 miles and completing 11,000 test at locations around the world, from extremes of hot and cold to all points in between. When Honda finally confirmed the Civic Type R Mugen for very limited production – just 20 were being made – back in 2009, we did comment that the price - £38,599 and a £12k premium over the stock Type R – did not auger well for sales. In the event Honda has only managed to shift sixteen of the original Type R Mugen, but despite that sales failure they have decided to punt out a more powerful – and inevitably more expensive – version of the Type R with a bored and stroke 2.2 litre version of the original 2.0 litre in the Type R – the Honda Civic Type R Mugen 2.2.
