Scotland to ban petrol and diesel cars by 2050?
Wed, 25 Sep 2013The Scottish government is aiming to ban all petrol and diesel cars from towns, cities and other communities by 2050. This is according to a new “Switched On Scotland” document, intended to serve as a ‘roadmap’ towards the future that encourages businesses and private motorists to swap to electric vehicles (EVs). Chrysler posts $239 million operating profit, raises forecast
Mon, 08 Nov 2010Chrysler Group posted an operating profit of $239 million in the third quarter and raised its outlook for the balance of the year in anticipation of stronger sales and improved operating performance. The results, released Monday, marked the automaker's third straight operating profit. Chrysler's third-quarter net loss was $84 million, down from $172 million in the second quarter.
Saab strikes deal with BMW for 9-3, 9-1 engines

Munich will provide Saab with four-cylinder petrol 1.6 turbo engines from 2012 and the full suite of Efficient Dynamics tech will be included. The deal is being signed today by Ian Robertson, marketing board member of BMW AG, and the CEO of Saab Automobile, Jan Åke Jonsson, in Trollhättan.How can Saab afford to buy BMW engines?No financial or volume details have been announced yet.
