Painted matt black, and with ‘dontblogaboutthis’ emblazoned across its flanks, it is of course a tease designed to get forums fanatics and bloggers worked up into a frenzy as everyone tries to guess what it is. JAGUAR is bringing history to life with an incredible mission to build six ‘Lightweight’ E-Types from scratch – by hand. The firm’s ‘finest craftsmen’ will hand-build each of the ultra-rare E-Type racers to the exact specification dictated on the original plans, including the 3.8-litre straight-six petrol engine. The cars were originally destined to be built in the 1960s as part of a run of 18, but only 12 were ever made.

New BMW 2 Series tease begins BMW’s plans to extend their model range continues, with the new BMW 2 Series due to join its larger sibling – the BMW 4 Series – as the 1 Class Coupe/Cabriolet. The official reveal for the new BMW 2 Series is expected at the end of next week, but ahead of that BMW has started to tease its new Coupe on video (below). We don’t get to see much – and what we do see isn’t a huge surprise – but we already know much of what to expect when the 2 Series starts to hit the road in 2014.
