New Ford Mustang leaks out ahead of official reveal

Wed, 04 Dec 2013 00:00:00 -0800

The first photo of the 2015 Ford Mustang Ford has been busy getting ready for a reveal of the new 2015 Ford Mustang on the 5th December, but their powder has been made a little damp by scanned images from Autoweek’s story on the new Mustang leaking out ahead of publication. The new Mustang still looks like a Mustang, but in a ┬ánod to Ford’s European styling mantra it gets a version of the Aston Martin like grill now proliferating across Ford’s European range together headlights incorporating LEDs. At the back, the new Mustang has the required three bar lights and a new diffuser, whilst the interior looks decent quality if a little retro in style.

EBay exotic: 1974 Alfa Romeo Berlina 2000

Mon, 11 Jul 2011 00:00:00 -0700

I'm a sucker for a four-door Alfa, and this bright red Berlina 2000 posted by our friends at Bring a Trailer has yours truly all aflutter this morning. Formerly owned by an Alfa Romeo employee in the United States, this car shows just a tick less than 89,000 original miles and wears fresh paint as of a few years ago. The seller, himself an Alfisti, claims that the gauges and mechanicals are all in correct working order, and the original factory air conditioning apparently operates as well as it did when new--which likely isn't very well, but still, it makes an interesting conversation piece.

Ford MyKey system now limits cell phone use for teens

Thu, 27 Oct 2011 00:00:00 -0700

Ford's MyKey system has been able to limit speeds and audio volume to improve teen-driver safety. Now, new technology will allow the system to limit cell phone use as well. Launching on the 2012 Ford Explorer, the new technology means that, when hooked up to Sync, the teen's phone will send calls to voicemail and save texts for later reading, but drivers can still make voice-activated outgoing calls.
