Made in ISO 9002 factory to original Chrysler blueprints!

NEW electronic ignition distributor, complete with pickup coil, reluctor, cap, rotor, etc. Performance mechanical and vacuum advance curves. ready to drop in!

If you've had trouble with idle, detonation, etc., with the 2000-2013 Mopar Performance distributors, this is your fix! The MP distributors of that era were really Accel GM HEI guts miniaturized into a Chrysler housing, which caused no end of problems. This unit is the original '70s Chrysler "Indianapolis plant" bulletproof design, right down to "heavy" advance weights and the oiler wick beneath the rotor (add a few drops of motor oil yearly). This is the good stuff, even the beefy metal shaft collar and blueprinted thrust washer stack!

I had it made as a duplicate of the 440 A-134 hi-po specs, definitiely 2-stage springs, a true street performance curve:

Less than 4 deg. mechanical adv. below 650 RPM (for cranking)

approx. 8 deg. at 950 (fast idle)

Approx 13 deg. at 2500 (HP)

Vacuum: near-zero at 10" vac

9-10 deg @ 15" (fuel economy / no oil dilution)

Note that these numbers are all DISTRIBUTOR degrees, double for crankshaft degrees.

For most setups you'd want to run initial around 8 crank degrees BTDC. Feel free, of course, to rework the advance curve to fit special applications (crazy hot cam, etc.)

Add low-cost S&H per calculator (tab above); shipped worldwide.

Thanks,
Rick

Jaguar F-type prototype (2013): the testing videos

Thu, 05 Apr 2012

As Jaguar confirmed its new F-type sports car at the 2012 New York auto show, it issued some teaser video footage of the new £55,000 roadster landing in showrooms in spring 2013. Jag ambassador and former racer Martin Brundle hitches a lift with the company's chief dynamics engineer Mike Cross for a few hot laps in the F-type prototype around its handling circuit at Gaydon. We can safely ignore the hyperbole poring forth ('It's responsive, it's a great car to drive') but it's a good chance to see the all-aluminium F-type in action.

Skoda Fabia concept

Tue, 06 Mar 2007

By Tim Pollard Motor Shows 06 March 2007 03:50 Skoda looks to the Mini for Fabia body kit Expect to see some Mini-inspired styling cues on Skoda's new Fabia, taken from this concept car unveiled today at the Geneva show. Tucked in a corner alongside a rally car concept, the funked-up Fabia had a silver roof and door mirror caps; although not yet officially confirmed for production, officials reckon the new look will make it to showrooms, unlike a Fabia Scout faux-by-four, which was ruled out. The Fabia goes on sale in May for around £8000.

BMW 4 Series: The new 3 Series Coupe arrives

Thu, 06 Dec 2012

The BMW Concept 4 Series Coupe – a two door version of the new 3 Series – has been revealed and will debut at the 2013 Detroit Auto Show. It may be a concept as far as the real extremes are concerned – the butch bumpers, big air intakes and extreme wheels – but in every other way the 4 Series Concept is the production 4 Series we’ll get later in 2014. And it looks good.
